Africa GreenTec measures its contribution to SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth) through the indicator "number of small businesses empowered".
The indicator is measured by multiplying the number of customers by a factor that expresses a percentage of customers who use the electricity for income generation.
This factor is currently assumed to be 21% based on a field survey an external party (60 decibels) conducted in Mali in 2022.
